Update: we have rented the house mentioned in the previous post to a nice young couple who enjoy the ability to be nude in such a pretty, private location.

We do have one more house that's available. It also is a 3 bedroom, 1 bath manufactured home with an extra outdoor shower located in another very private, location abutting our property in Central FL.

Ideally we would like to rent it to someone who can help us with the maintenance and upkeep of our 50-acre homestead and our nearby rental homes. Perhaps a swap of hours for rent or partial rent.

update on the progress of our renovations. it has taken longer than expected because of other projects that came up.

however, much has been done on our lakefront rental home. the bamboo floors are in place in the kitchen and living room. new appliances are in place for the kitchen including a gas stove/oven.

we have tiled the hallways, second living room, master bedroom, laundry and large walk-in closet.

the bathroom had a complete makeover and now has a tiled tub, new toilet and tiled floor.

we still need to carpet the two smaller bedroom, do bits and pieces of trim and put up the bamboo fence around the outdoor shower.

it's getting close to being ready to rent! anyone interested? rent will be $950/mo on a year round basis.

my breakfast is a bowl filled with fruit topped with stevia sweetened oatmeal into which chia seeds have been added while cooking.

the fruit varies from season to season but always includes thawed organic raspberries, cherries, blueberries, pieces of fresh pineapple, a cut up medjool date, chunks of banana and whatever local fruit is available (lately that's been starfruit). My husband likes to add a thawed fig to his, ones we grew and froze fresh.

i love this breakfast and look forward to it every day.

i haven't given up on being the change i want to see. i've just readjusted my approach and broadened my audience. my weekly column about healthy, in-the-moment living has appeared in a daily newspaper since 2006. i also blog about the same.

there is a movement toward healthier living in this country but it has taken a ridiculously long time to catch on.

i also find it discouraging how few people in the nudist/naturist community care about healthy eating. when we lived at cypress cove in the late 1980s/early 1990s, we tried to get them to start a community garden and to ban smoking in the restaurant and other areas. both ideas were rejected but eventually, after we left to live on our own property, a community garden was started and smoking bans were put into place. back then i was idealistic and eager to enact change but, as the years went by, i decided to concentrate instead on creating my own world instead of modifying the world someone else had created to fit my needs. although i'm generally an optimistic person, i've grown to be a pessimist when it comes to nudists living holistically. my experience has shown that the majority of people who enjoy a clothing-free lifestyle are far more interested in hedonistic pursuits than healthy ones.

We are in the process of completing the renovations on a 3-bedroom guesthouse that fronts on our private 12-acre lake. We'd love to find tenants who are looking for a safe, secure place to enjoy the nudist/naturist lifestyle. Once the renovations are complete, I'll set up a website with photos and more information. it was 20 years ago when our family moved from cypress cove in kissimmee to a 50-acre piece of property just west of orlando. at the time, the land, which completely surround a 12-acre lake (having our own lake was part of the dream), was very open and practically treeless. but we saw the potential. our first step was to form a tall berm of earth around the perimeter to provide an immediate privacy buffer. then we planted and planted and planted. in florida's wonderful climate, it doesn't take long for plants to grow. with a lot of hard work and vision, we managed to create a nudist/naturist paradise where we were able to raise our 4 children and be without clothes as much as we want. the lesson in this story is that the perfect place to live a nudist/naturist lifestyle isn't always ready-made. sometimes, the best places are those you create yourself out of dreams and lots of love and labor.

in response to fire prof's post, i guess i'm just not in the market for friends. i'm not looking to surround myself with a broad circle of "like-minded" individuals. i just want to find one person, couple or family to live on our property who doesn't smoke, doesn't drink and would rather be surrounded by nature than by other people. if i was looking to make/meet more people for friendship, i'd be more willing to compromise but in a work relationship where the person lives on our private property - and that's the type of nudist/naturist relationship i hope to cultivate - i need to be picky.

i lived in a nudist community for 5 years and like sun bunny, i found no common denominator among fellow nudist other than our desire to be without clothes. i do, however, use the term "like-minded" when referring to nudists/naturists who share my family's beliefs about living a peaceful, quiet life that is in harmony with nature. so many nudists are into a partying, drinking, smoking lifestyle. those are not the type of people i want to be around regardless of their beliefs about nudity.

my husband and i have enjoyed a nudist/naturist lifestyle for the past 41 years. we raised our 4 children in a nudist environment including 5 years living at cypress cove in kissimmee. for the past 20 years our home has been our on own private nudist/naturist homestead in central florida. everything we love, want and need is here including our own private lake and walking trails. we are able to safely enjoy our surroundings without clothing whenever we want. over the past couple years our children have started to raise families of their own and we able to introduce another generation to this wonderful lifestyle. the one thing missing is someone to help us with the upkeep of the property (50 acres) and maintenance of our buildings. we've found it extremely challenging to find like-minded nudists to help us with our projects. where are all the nature-loving, non-smoking, peaceful-environment-seeking nudists?

i wish i could find someone like rix to help us at our central florida homestead. we need a nudist "fix-it" person to help with both outside in indoor projects on and around our 50A property and nearby rental homes. i've found it a challenge to find a helper but i continue to be hopeful that at some point the right someone will come along.

i wish i could be optimistic about the possibility of forming a nudist community but as a property owner of a private 50-acre nudist family homestead, i have found finding other nudists to live on the property extremely difficult.

hi - we are in the process of renovating a 3bedroom, 1 bath (with an extra outdoor shower) in an amazing lakefront location on our very private central florida homestead.

when the renovations are completed (soon, i hope!) the house will be available for rent to non-smokers, preferably without feline or canine pets.

i have yet to receive even a single serious inquiry from people interested in helping us with short or long term projects on our central florida homestead. where are all the nudists with carpentry, plumbing, electrical, handyman, mechanical or gardening skills? a couple people made initial contact but no one has followed through with an in-person visit. i really hoped we'd be able to find like-minded people on this site who understand what family nudity is all about and who enjoy living and working in a beautiful setting where they can safely be clothing-free year round. sigh...

One of our first projects is to ready the guesthouse for...well, for guests! A new bamboo floor was already installed in the living room and kitchen and new tile in one bedroom. It has been painted although some touch up is still needed along the edges. New kitchen cabinets have been installed but we still need to put in the counter, hook up the electric and, gee, well, there are lots of other small related projects in that particular house. Meanwhile, we do have a full apartment available in the upper story of our house for guest to stay until that one is completely functional.

my husband and i are fortunate to live in a place where we can safely be nude both inside and outside year round. our property is not a resort but it feels like it thanks to years of hard work planting bamboos, pines and other trees. my husband hates wearing clothes and since he rarely leaves the property, he seldom has to. i tend to go out more often and therefore wear clothes far more often than he does. can't complain, though, we have created and enjoy a wonderful naturist working/living situation.

thank you to everyone who has contacted me. i haven't heard from many people but the few good responses i've had has been encouraging.

i realize relocating from far away is impractical for many and therefore can offer instead a work-vacation kind of arrangement to people who'd like to exchange working for a week or so for a stay in a beautiful, tranquil nudist setting.

a couple caveats...we don't permit smoking on the property and we aren't able to accommodate pets for those seeking short-stay arrangements.

my husband and i are looking for someone to help us with the maintenance of our 50acre bamboo farm, homestead and nearby rental properties in central florida. we are not a resort - just people who appreciate nature and living a quiet peaceful naturist life. we raised our family here but now that we are older and the kids are grown, we could use some help. there are trucks, tractors, mowers and assorted equipment that needs to be maintained as well as mowing to be done, irrigation to repair and all the usual things that come with owning and maintaining a large piece of property and a number of rental homes. we are looking for a handyman who enjoys working outside, can handle a bit of carpentry, plumbing, electrical and whatever other odd jobs come up. we can offer a house in a private location in exchange for 20 hours of work per week. please do not contact me if you are a smoker. we are very health-conscious people and prefer to be around others who appreciate privacy, quiet and a natural lifestyle.
