Nudist colonies are not talked about often these days, but they do still exist around the area. One such group of enthusiastic nudists is taking the limelight this weekend.
Fraternity Snoqualmie, a family nudist park, presents Nudestock. A day of live music from the high-energy rockabilly band Wired! as well as Raymond Hayden & The Dark Drive Home and Paul Green & Straight Shot. Along with music there will be pools, hot tubs, saunas, volleyball, camping, massage, crafts and food; all in the nude. Of course, nudity cannot be enforced, but it is highly encouraged.
Typically the nudist park is by membership only, but for the day of Nudestock, first time visitors will receive a complimentary 1-day membership. Those who have attended Fraternity Snoqualmie before will have to pay the 1-day membership fee. Kids are welcomed along with parents and a photo ID is required for entry.
Nudestock takes place at Fraternity Snoqualmie Family Nudist Park in Issaquah on Saturday, August 29. The gates open at 9am with the bands taking the stage from 11am to 6pm. To help ease your mind that you will not be the only one to show up naked, there are photos of Nudestock 2004. Go ahead, set your inner exhibitionist free and enjoy the outdoors the au naturale way.
