They were sun-worshippers who just wanted was to spend a lovely August day at the beach.

But some bathers at Sandy Hook on Tuesday afternoon found themselves taking part in a hasty cover-up.

A chlorine leak at Sandy Hook's sewer treatment plant, located south of the clothing-optional Gunnison Beach, required some quick relocation, the Asbury Park Press reports on its website.

Gunnison Beach was evacuated, and the bathers were moved to the park's North Beach so they would not be affected by the leak, a National Park Service spokesman said.
Unlike Gunnison Beach, clothing is not optional at North Beach.

 at least they where moved before and got sick or wrose
Really glad this didn't happen when I was there last week! Man, that totally sucks... I'd hate to have my day of nude sunbathing interrupted by something like that. I wonder if the bathers (obviously not the rulemakers) made the north beach clothing optional for the day.
